A long term disease that has no cure but can be maintained by the use of certain drugs. Asthma attacks occur when you breath in a certain substance that triggers this to happen. The substance that triggers this reaction is different for everyone. It can be dust, pets, outdoor air pollution, mold, or other substances. These things trigger the airways to react and the muscles around the airways to tighten. By this happening the airway narrows and makes breathing harder. By taking medication it inhibits this reaction from occurring.
