Inhaled corticostroids is taken in the form of mist and is used to prevent the airways in your respiratory system from swelling up. Long acting beta-agonist inhalers relax the smooth muscles to prevent symptoms as well. Cromolyn is another medication taken through an inhaler to prevent asthma symptoms.
